Theme: The Greatest Benefaction
In celebration of Maoulud Nabiyy 2025, the annual commemoration of the birth of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him), the world Islamic clergy and spiritual father, His Eminence Fadeelatuh Sheikh Ahmad Al-Mukhtar Bukhari, founder of Muhammad Rosululah Islamic Centre / Al-Huda Al-Mukhtariyah, has once again demonstrated the true essence of Islam through a remarkable act of charity and education-driven support for the youth.
This year’s celebration, held across multiple communities in Lagos State, took a unique and impactful turn. With the aim of supporting the academic aspirations of young people, over 100 free GCE forms were distributed to students across Apapa, Apapa-Iganmu, Surulere, Coker-Aguda LCDA, Itire-Ikate, Ajeromi, and Ifelodun. The forms were shared through the benevolence and directive of His Eminence Sheikh Ahmad Al-Mukhtar Bukhari, as a way of honouring the birth of the beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

This gesture was not just an act of generosity, but a message — a call to action for youth development, peace, and religious harmony. Notably, Sheikh Al-Mukhtar Bukhari insisted that the GCE forms be distributed to both Muslim and Christian students, emphasizing inclusiveness, unity, and peace — values deeply rooted in Islamic teachings.
The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Surulere Chapter, represented by its Secretary and Assistant, extended heartfelt appreciation to the Sheikh, commending him as a true ambassador of peace. They further encouraged spiritual leaders from all religious backgrounds to emulate his exemplary lifestyle and dedication to community development.
Other notable figures who graced the occasion and gave their commendation include:
Comrade Prince Olamide Hammed, Vice Chairman, National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Lagos Central, who praised the Sheikh’s leadership and urged the student beneficiaries to follow in his peaceful and purposeful footsteps as they advance in their academic journey.
Hon. Barrister Thelmah Obadiah, Lagos Central Senatorial Representative at the National Youth Parliament, Nigeria, also addressed the gathering, encouraging the youth to continue being good ambassadors and to emulate the noble character and values demonstrated by the Sheikh.
Olaitan Royal, Chief Editor of Royal Circle Connect Oba’s Media, expressed deep gratitude to the Sheikh, calling him a “God-sent mentor” for today’s youth. He pledged continued support and recognition of the Sheikh’s selfless efforts to uplift the next generation.
Indeed, this year’s Maoulud celebration went beyond tradition — it became a platform for empowerment, education, and interfaith harmony. His consistent outreach — from aiding market traders with financial assistance to supporting students with educational opportunities — stands as a testament to his enduring commitment to the welfare of the people.
