The Alhaji Cooler Students’ Educational Support Programme for the year 2026 represents a significant intervention aimed at promoting access to secondary and tertiary education among youths in Ojora Land, Lagos State.
Alhaji Chief Rilwan Olawale Yekin Cooler, the Olori Odo of Ijora and Iganmu Kingdom, once again demonstrated his strong commitment to youth development and educational advancement by sponsoring over one hundred (100) students with free Private General Certificate of Education (GCE) and Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) forms for the 2026 academic cycle. This initiative continues his long-standing tradition of annually supporting interested and eligible youths within Ojora Land.
The presentation of the examination forms took place on Monday, 2nd February 2026. The event was marked by widespread enthusiasm among education stakeholders, beneficiaries, and community members, as it reflected an expanded and innovative approach to student support. During his address to the beneficiaries, the Olori Odo offered words of encouragement and motivation, emphasizing the importance of discipline, excellence, and dedication to academic pursuits. In a symbolic gesture to celebrate academic ambition and success, he acknowledged the students’ aspirations and announced additional incentives to further motivate performance.
Notably, the Olori Odo pledged to sponsor the overall best-performing students in both the JAMB and GCE examinations. Furthermore, he announced a full scholarship award for the overall best student, reinforcing his commitment to rewarding academic excellence and reducing financial barriers to education.


In addition, Comrade Ibrak, an indigene of Ijora Kingdom and a consistent supporter of youth initiatives, used the occasion to reaffirm his commitment to the educational development of students in Ojora Land. He pledged a cash award of ₦500,000 for the overall best JAMB candidate and ₦250,000 for the second-best candidate, further strengthening the incentive framework of the programme.
Prince Olaitan Royal, the Convener of the Ojora Kingdom Scholarship Initiative, expressed deep appreciation to the Olori Odo of Ijora and Iganmu Kingdom for his sustained and impactful support for education. He assured the community of his continued dedication to upholding the vision of the programme and ensuring its successful implementation.
The event was graced by notable dignitaries, including Senator Thelmah Obadiah, representing the Lagos Central Senatorial District of the National Youth Parliament, and Comrade Hammed, the vice Chairman National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) Lagos central, highly represented by the former Cordinator NYCN Apapa Iganmu.
