In her first term in office, the Apapa local government has experienced remarkable success across various sectors, including projects, security, health, education, employment, and empowerment. Notably, for the first time in Apapa’s history, we have the honor of having a Deputy Speaker in the Lagos State House of Assembly (LAHA), who has been elevated by divine providence to become the first female Speaker of LAHA in Lagos State. This milestone not only represents a significant achievement for our local government but also sets a precedent of female leadership in the region.
IDOWU ADEJUMOKE SENBANJO, A graduate of Arts (Hons) in Languages and Linguistics, UNIVERSITY OF JOS,(1986/90). She also holds a Master of Arts in International Law and Diplomacy,UNIVERSITY OF LAGOS,Akoka, Lagos, (2002/3 to 2004). An industrious woman who worked with the defunct METROPOLITAN BANK LIMITED,Victoria Island,Lagos as the Head Public Sector-South Western Nigeria;Retail Banking-Team Leader and Head Corporate Affairs. In 2004-2007, She served in the capacity of Special Assistant to the Lagos State Governor (Housing), and as Senior Special Assistant to the Lagos State Governor on Poverty Eradication, 2012-2015.
Idowu Senbanjo , she’s presently a first time executive Chairman of Apapa local government, Nigerian representing Nigerians of all ages-past, present and future, is vying for the position of Chairman, Apapa Local Government 2nd term under the umbrella of All Progressive Congress (APC). She is a hardworking, focused and dedicated woman.A party member at the ward, zonal and state levels who has also contributed to the political development in Apapa Local Government.A cross section of persons within the Apapa/ljora Oloye environs, were carefully selected to share their opinions and thoughts on matters affecting the larger populace of the local government. Their contributions at the forum were noted and, has formed the basis of her manifesto with the acronym S.H.E.E..
