Highlights of Speeches

In his address, Professor Ayara Ndem congratulated the participating TSPs, emphasizing that selection into the IDEAS-TVET programme followed a rigorous screening process, which accounts for the limited number of qualified training centres. He commended the trainees for their courage, commitment, and dedication, and assured them that the Federal Government of Nigeria, in collaboration with the World Bank, is fully committed to fulfilling all promises made under the programme.

Professor Ndem further expressed appreciation to the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for prioritizing youth development through quality, globally competitive skills training. He called on all stakeholders to support the government’s efforts in empowering Nigerian youth for sustainable national development.

Speaking on behalf of the Training Service Providers, Dr. Ekunnusi, Chief Executive Officer of Digital Age Consultants Ltd. and a Creative Media Facilitator, expressed gratitude to the Federal Government for the opportunity given to Nigerian youth to demonstrate productivity, innovation, and diligence. He reaffirmed the commitment of TSPs to continuously impact and empower youths across the country.

Also speaking at the event, Prince Olaitan Royal, a Lagosian from the Ojora Royal Family and Chief Executive Officer of Royal Circle Connect (Oba’s Media), who is also a beneficiary of the IDEAS-TVET project in Creative Media Communications, appreciated the Federal Government for bringing the initiative to Lagos State—one of the world’s most prominent metropolitan cities. He pledged to actively promote and propagate the IDEAS-TVET initiative across both urban and rural communities within Lagos State.
